How are sitters selected for bookings?Updated a month ago

How your sitter is selected for your booking depends on which option you choose when you place your booking. There are two options:

Option 1: Choose for me

If you're short on time and don’t want the hassle of finding childcare, but would like us to choose a sitter for you, select the 'Choose for me' option.

We'll always offer your booking to your Top 3 Favourites first, in order from your 1st to your 3rd Favourite, before we offer your booking to your other Favourites. If they’re unavailable, we’ll carefully select another approved sitter suitable for your family.

As soon as we’ve found the right sitter for you, we’ll let you know who it is and you'll be able to view details about them, including their experience, reviews from other parents and a photo.

Option 2: Let me choose (not available for short-notice bookings)

If you're looking for more control over which sitter attends your booking, select the 'Let me choose' option.

We'll always contact your Top 3 Favourites first, in order from your 1st to your 3rd Favourite, before we contact your other Favourites to ask if they're available for your booking. If they’re unavailable, we’ll reach out to other approved sitters local to you.

Once we’ve found sitters who are available for your booking, we’ll send you a link to a list of sitters for you to choose from.

But be quick. If you see a sitter you love then be sure to accept them into your booking before they’re snapped up by another family.

Please note: Typically you have 2 to 5 days to make your selection after the first sitter applies – less for short notice bookings. If you haven't selected a sitter, don’t worry — we’ll carefully choose one for you to ensure you have childcare in place.
