How long will it take to fill my booking?Updated a month ago

This will depend on how much notice we have before the booking, whether you're happy for us to select a sitter for you, or whether you'd like control over which sitter attends your booking.

'Choose for me' bookings

If you're happy for us to choose your sitter for you, nine out of ten bookings are filled within 24 hours. However if you made your booking request with several weeks' notice, we'll allow your favourite sitters plenty of time to check their availability before we offer it to other sitters - so it may be a few days before a sitter accepts your booking. 

And if your booking is taking longer than usual to fill, we'll keep you regularly informed of our progress by email.

'Let me choose' bookings

If you'd like to choose your own sitter, we’ll let you know as soon as a sitter applies for your booking. If it's a sitter you love, be sure to accept them into your booking before they’re snapped up by another family!

We'll continue contacting suitable sitters to see if they are available for your booking.

Please note: Typically you have 2 to 5 days to make your selection after the first sitter applies – less for short notice bookings. If you haven't selected a sitter, don’t worry — we’ll carefully choose one for you to ensure you have childcare in place.
