Can I cancel a booking?Updated 3 months ago

If you need to cancel a booking, please let us know as soon as possible via the 'My Bookings' section of the Sitters app, so we can avoid a sitter arriving unnecessarily.

Please don't cancel bookings direct with the sitter. 

Will I be charged if I cancel my booking?

You can cancel your booking, free of charge, providing we have not already filled your booking and confirmed your sitter to you.

A £5 cancellation fee will apply for any bookings that you cancel after we have already filled your booking and confirmed your sitter to you.

It's essential that you cancel via the app, otherwise we will assume the booking has gone ahead and you'll be charged for your sitter's time. 

Goodwill payments to my sitter

If you cancel your sitter at short notice (less than 12 hours before the booking start time), as a gesture of goodwill, we suggest paying a contribution to your sitter (who has already given up their time) for around the equivalent cost of a 2 hour booking.
